July 18

I have a need to photograph the butterflies in our backyard lately, this one spent awhile in the blackberry bush….no idea what kind of butterfly it is.

July 8

went out looking for whales….found bears instead. Apparently this is a female, roughly 4 yrs old. I named her Betty.

found a large pod of Pacific White Sided Dolphins that wanted to play around the boat.

It was kinda taken far away…but they wanted to show off a little bit for us.

June 3 – June 8

I call him Butch. I spotted him at the top of the Rossland as he debated whether or not to continue down and jump off the rock wall or go back…he opted to go back

Marmot scurrying to hide when he heard me coming…..

….but he still wanted to check me out as I went by….

Heavy rain and snow melting combine for some pretty sweet waterfalls on the side of the road

I decided to get out of the car to stretch my legs and get some fresh air….walked down a path that it appears other walkers like to frequent….snapped off a picture and backed away slowly…I call this one Boris….he’s Russian in my world.

Sacred heart Church, built in 1897 in Greenwood, BC…smallest city in Canada

Quail family…little fuzzy but those suckers can move!

Last bear sighting of the road trip….he was eating, didn’t look too friendly, had some impressive scars on his snout, I kept a very safe distance….I named him Nero.
